Partial re-opening of reserve

We are delighted to announce that this morning (Saturday) we opened some sections of our trails and the car park so that we can welcome visitors back to wonderful Leighton Moss!

Of course visitors will be required to follow on-site guidance which will be provided by our team. Be aware that we are limiting the number of vehicles in the car park and as a consequence, it has limited capacity. If the car park is full upon arrival, please DO NOT park on the nearby roadside verges.

The car park will be open only from 9.30am - 5pm daily.

Our visitor centre, shop, café, toilets and all hides remain closed.

Although access is severely restricted we hope that visitors will be able to enjoy a walk through sections of woodland and reedbed and experience the magic of the reserve. The sound of booming bitterns and singing reed warblers and the sight of damselflies, marsh harriers and wildflowers are sure to lift the spirits of all nature lovers during this difficult time.

We do urge our visitors to please stay local to your nearest reserves and greenspaces. Anyone choosing to visit should observe all current government advice around social distancing and hygiene.
